Continue with my topic yesterday on Low Cost Cloud Hosting For Start-up – Part II , I have also applied the same experiment on Amazon Web Services.

I sign-up another free domain from Freenom, sign-up a the Amazon Web Services Free Tier. While I’m using Cloudflare for my CDN, DNS management and SSL and successfully setup a WordPress powered website, https://www.ladinvestment.ga/. It is also setup almost the same identical site as the Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure as trying to compare the performance and the cost.

Same as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, AWS provides full solutions, domain hosting, DNS management, load balancing and SSL management. However, not all the services are free and you need to have some IT technical knowledge to configure around the setting. Therefore, I decided to use Cloudflare instead to manage the DNS management, load balancing and SSL management. AWS provided free using for one micro cpu which is the same as Google, however, it doesn’t provides free credit, thus you will be charged for some cost. For the past few months, for a single website, it is around USD 15 a month as compare it is cheaper than Microsoft Azure but expensive than Google Cloud Platform.

Amazon Web Services also provides application launcher which I feel very helpful to install your website in ease within 15 minutes. AWS also provides tons of documentations. If you followed the documentation you shall able to get it done what it say. Amazon web services marketplace also has quite a lot of application such as ERP Dolibarr, CRM tools, accounting tools, mobile application hosting and others that can help your start-up to start with low cost.
